The paper analyzes and develops a classification of polymer and composite materials for the manufacture of parts and units of aerospace products in additive manufacturing based on the criterion of functional purpose and structure of the material. The functional purpose of filaments from the developed classification in the aerospace industry is presented. Examples of parts and units of aerospace products manufactured by 3D printing using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology are given. Based on the operating conditions of aerospace products, a nomenclature of material quality indicators for 3D printing using FDM technology has been formed.
