Development of an integrative approach to projects of urban regeneration of historically developed cities

The article presents an analysis of theoretical approaches to the development of urban regeneration projects for historical cities. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the feasibility of forming an integrated approach that takes into account the principles of heritage conservation and the principles of sustainable development. Particular attention is paid to the project for restructuring the space of the historical center of Kazan. It has been proven that projects for the reconstruction of the space of historical cities must reflect the economic, social and city-forming values of the development of the historical center.
