Development of the method for accounting for springiness in bending with stretching

The article discusses a method for modeling the process of billet springing during the shaping of parts such as stringer or frame by the method of bending with stretching. After forming on the press and removing the forces, the workpiece under the action of elastic stresses will tend to take its original shape, as a result of which the radius of the resulting part will always be less than the radius of the tight punch. Therefore, in order to increase the accuracy of manufacturing parts, when designing punches, it is necessary to take into account the possible spring. Currently, there are several methods for accounting for springing, but they are not always suitable for accounting for springing on a punch of complex shape, with a variable radius of curvature and rectilinear sections. Based on this, there is a need to develop a new, universal methodology with implementation in the form of a software product. The essence of the proposed method consists in dividing the contour of the part into a number of sections specified as direct constant radii, and then recalculating the spring sequentially for each section, with the possibility of setting the spring coefficient. The resulting contour will allow you to design a tight punch, which ensures more precise manufacturing of parts.
