The article is devoted to fuel economy of cargo vehicles in the context of increasing energy efficiency and reducing operating costs. The level of fuel consumption is influenced by many factors, including the technical condition of the vehicle, driving style, weather conditions, terrain and other external parameters. At the same time, external conditions such as weather factors and geographical terrain are often uncontrollable, which underlines the importance of optimizing controlled factors such as driving style and vehicle technical condition. Due to the lack of understanding of the relationship between increased fuel consumption and the technical condition of vehicles, it is proposed to develop a methodology that allows determining whether the driving style or the technical condition of the vehicle is the reason for the increase in fuel consumption using fuzzy logic algorithms.
