Development of methods for the diagnosis and treatment of syphilis based on molecular mechanisms

The article discusses modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of syphilis based on molecular mechanisms. It is noted that new and improved existing diagnostic methods for syphilis infection are being developed. It has been revealed that multiplex PCR testing in real time, ELISA testing with the study of candidate proteins, and the use of biochips are relevant and promising diagnostic technologies. It is concluded that the main method of treatment currently remains treatment with penicillin drugs.
