In the analysis of existing methods of stock assessment of strength and resources details with the mutual influence of all components of a multi-component loading and showed that in the present conditions they need improvement. The method of estimation of the expectation of the total damage for a normal distribution of the logarithms of the time to failure, created on the basis of experiments using the linear hypothesis of damage summation. The experimental data showing that the change in fractography fracture or condition of the material microstructure in multi-component loading can lead to incorrect conclusions on the cause of the defect. Respectively, may be taken and inadequate measures to eliminate the defect.
