The article focuses on the development of a model for an automated system for forming crossfunctional project teams within enterprises, aimed at improving human resource management effi ciency in the context of digital transformation. The relevance of the topic “Development of a Model for an Automated System for Forming Cross-Functional Project Teams in Enterprises” is driven by modern trends in project management and organizational development, as well as the launch of the Russian national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State” in 2025. In a rapidly changing business environment, effective collaboration between diverse functions and departments is a critical factor for successful project implementation. Automating the process of forming cross-functional teams enhances the speed and effi ciency of project management, leading to reduced task completion times and optimized resource allocation. Such a system not only improves communication among project participants but also increases employee engagement by accounting for their competencies and interests. The article analyzes existing methods of project team formation in enterprises, presents examples of employee interviews to identify challenges in the team formation process, and describes experimental applications of various tools and technologies to optimize this process. A comprehensive analysis of team formation methods is conducted, encompassing both traditional approaches and modern automated solutions, with a comparative evaluation of results from automated systems versus conventional methods. In the fi nal section, an algorithm is designed, and a system architecture is proposed, incorporating a data analysis module, an optimization block based on a modifi ed genetic algorithm, and an interface for adjusting weight coeffi cients.
