Development of technology for the production of biodegradable films on the basis of natural polysaccharides by extrusion through the slit die

The deterioration of the ecological situation justifies the relevance of recent studies related to the production of biodegradable polymers from renewable sources, with the possibility of decomposition by microorganisms using chemical, physical or biological effects. It is this property of new materials that solves the problem of waste. Currently, due to scientific developments, polymer processing technologies are constantly being improved, which can later be used for the production of packaging materials.This work is aimed at improving the technology of biofilm production based on natural polysaccharides. In this paper, we studied a method for producing films based on natural polysaccharides by extrusion through a slit die. Multifactorial experiments to optimize the process modes were carried out. The melting temperature of the mixture of natural polysaccharides and the cooling temperature of the molded extrudate were considered as variable parameters. As the key parameter, the stress at break of the films obtained was controlled. According to the results of experimental and theoretical studies, the rational values of the technological parameters of the extrusion process through the slit die are recommended to achieve the highest stress at break of the films (screw rotation speed N = 0,5 rpm and N = 4,0 rpm): t пл =50C, t охл = 20C; t пл = 85C, t охл = 25C; t пл = 80C, t охл = 22C; t пл = 95C, t охл = 30C for samples recipes №6, №11, №21 and №29, respectively.
