Development of the STP-ISS transport protocol for the onboard SpaceWire networks

In article the STP-ISS new transport protocol for the onboard SpaceWire networks developed together with JSC Information Satellite Systems named after acad. M.F. Reshetnev for application in the Russian space industry is described. The review and the analysis of existing transport protocols functioning atop SpaceWire is provided and also necessary requirements to the transport protocol which will work over the SpaceWire network are formulated. The description of the main mechanisms of developed STP-ISS protocol of the first edition is submitted. Various imitating models which are also described were developed for carrying out verification, testing and research of mechanisms of the new protocol. On the basis of results received during modeling the first edition of the STP-ISS specification was let out.
