Field surveys in the vicinities of Kara-Tobe hillfort(North-Western Crimea)

In 2015-2016 detailed field surveys were carried out in the vicinitiesof hillfort Kara-Tobe. As a result, there were identified kurgans and «the open settlementof Kara-Tobe». These sites were discovered by P. N. Schultz in the 1930-s, but laterthe information was lost. Besides, total mapping of surface finds let outline the areaoccupied by a farmstead of Classical period (IV-III cc. BC), and Late Bronze Agesettlement.
