Progress in the Russian biological instrumentation

The state of the art of the Russian scientific instrumentation, biological instrumentation in particular, for the last decade is discussed. Some examples of the recent biological instrumentation projects performed at the Institute of Biological Instrumentation RAS are given. The prospects of further development in this field are outlined.
