Development of franchising of medical services in Russia

The private medicine has developed rapidly in the recent decade and today it is a valuable member of the health care system in Russia. However, for the further development of the private healthcare sector the new approaches and methods of business operation are required. The authors consider such a method of medical services business as the franchising, which, as exemplified by the world experience, is one of the key factors in the development of small business actively supported by the governments in the developed countries. The article examines the current situation in the global and domestic franchising markets, identifies the main differences in their structure. Special attention is given to the analysis of the market structure of the medical services franchising, and the main trends and prospects of its development.
