Development and improvement of inter-budgetary relations in the Russian Federation

The article is devoted to the study of the process of development and improvement of inter-budgetary relations in the Russian Federation. The author notes that the development of federalism in Russia requires an effective division of financial resources between the federal center and the subjects of the federation. The functioning of local self-government is also impossible without providing this level of public authority with sufficient financial resources to address issues of local importance and implement delegated powers. The formation of local self-government and federal relations in Russia are important directions for the development of democracy and the implementation of the principle of separation of powers in our country, necessary for the balanced social and economic development of various territories and overcoming the imbalances in the development of regions and municipalities of the country with a vast territory and a large number of administrative-territorial units in its composition.
