The relevance of the article is that in the conditions of geopolitical instability and restrictions imposed on the foreign economic activity of the Russian Federation, the study and optimization of trade and economic relations with friendly states and integration associations is of particular importance. In this regard, there is a strengthening of trade and economic relations within the BRICS, a bloc that, in addition to Russia, includes Brazil, India, China and the Republic of South Africa, in order to increase the sustainability of the Russian economy. Despite the differences in the structure of economies and the level of socio-economic development, the BRICS countries demonstrate complementarity and have a wide range of common interests, which creates favorable conditions for deepening mutual ties and forming strong integration processes. For the Russian Federation, imports from the BRICS countries are of particular relevance, being a key factor in diversifying foreign economic relations and ensuring the sustainability of the national economy. The purpose of the study is to study the development of imports of goods from the BRICS countries to Russia. Both the features of the organization of the work of this association and the indicators of the development of imports to the Russian Federation from the BRICS countries over the past few years were studied. Conclusions were made that the total imports from the BRICS countries to the Russian Federation have grown due to the growth of supplies from China and India. However, despite the development of imports, Russia does not cover the entire demand for imported goods, especially there is a shortage of components. Therefore, it is important to develop trade cooperation with the BRICS countries. This will be facilitated by reducing trade barriers, harmonizing trade standards and rules, creating our own platform for settlements in the national currencies of the BRICS countries.
