Development of industrial parks in the Republic of Tatarstan

Industrial (industrial) parks are one of the types of preferential territories that are actively developing on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. In these territories, favorable conditions have been created for small and medium-sized businesses to locate and conduct activities, as well as tax and non-tax benefits are provided. However, only industrial (industrial) parks that meet certain requirements under regional legislation can apply for all types of benefits. The placement of production in a preferential territory allows small and medium-sized businesses to receive benefits and direct the released funds to improve the production process, to purchase new equipment and machinery, to increase wages for employees, and more. The effect of the activities of industrial (industrial) parks is also noted at the level of socio-economic development of the regions. So, according to the results of 2021, about 42 thousand jobs were created in the industrial parks of the Republic of Tatarstan, the average salary of employees was 40,949 rubles, and the turnover of enterprises was 404.72 billion rubles. In total, residents of industrial parks paid 65.35 billion rubles in taxes to the budgets of various levels and non-budgetary funds. However, it is important to understand that industrial (industrial) parks are territories with preferences that operate in order to support small and medium-sized businesses, while in special economic zones and territories of advanced socio-economic development, large business companies are mainly registered as residents. The efficiency of industrial parks requires further study, including what support measures have the greatest effect and how to encourage residents to actively engage in import substitution in modern conditions.
