This article deals with the essence of innovation as a driver of economic development both inside the company and at macroeconomic level. The main difficulties in the way of development of innovative business, is on the one hand, weak development of infrastructure to facilitate commercialization of innovations, and on the other hand, the lack of a systematic approach to the management of innovative businesses by entrepreneurs. For the development of innovative business it is necessary to create the external environment conducive to the most effective transformation of inventions into a product in which should participate the innovators, venture investors, representatives of the state and the scientific community. It is important at the same time, the introduction of modern methods of management of innovative business, including the creation of an innovative product, build the company's innovation management and development of the employees of innovative thinking.
