Development of the innovative component of economic growth in agriculture

Among the national development goals of the Russian Federation are defined: acceleration of technological development, ensuring accelerated implementation of digital technologies in the economy and social sphere, and creating a high-tech export-oriented sector in the basic sectors of the economy. The introduction of digital technologies in agricultural production allows us to take into account the local characteristics of fields and animals, natural variability, which leads to a reduction in resource consumption, an increase in crop yields and animal productivity, improves the quality of decisions and the speed of their adoption. Due to the limited financial capabilities of agricultural producers and their high level of credit, the introduction of digital technologies is expensive and has a focal nature of distribution. Studying and taking into account the experience of industrially developed countries in the formation of an innovative environment and stimulating innovation activity can help in the development of innovative development programs in Russia and the formation of the optimal version of the country’s innovation strategy. Special attention, in our opinion, should be paid to such aspects of the experience of developed countries in stimulating the innovation process as: a) concentration of resources and funds on priority innovative projects of competitive technologies in selected industries; b) formation of a cluster of innovative technologies (interconnected and interdependent enterprises, industries, technologies) that ensure the formation of competitive knowledge-intensive industries. In the development of the innovation component, we suggest using the open innovation model. At the level of agricultural organizations, managerial and organizational efforts are needed to organize and manage the innovation process.
