This article is devoted to the formation of the social responsibility of business, the development of the institutional content of the social responsibility by the implementation of public-private partnership. The authors distinguish and describe the two main components of the socially responsible business: economic and social. The complex of tools for interaction between government and business required to meet the challenges of joint social responsibility is considered.
