А review of the ideas about the essence of the financial strategy of the company is given and the necessity of developing tools for the formation of the financial strategy of the organization is substantiated. It is concluded that in the conditions of the economic crisis, the assessment of the probability of loss of income or resources, that is, the assessment of financial risks, is highly relevant. Risk is the most important factor that should be considered when developing a strategy.
