Development of artificial intelligence: present state and prospects of usage by domestic enterprises and organizations

A sharp increase interest in artificial intelligence technologies, which have been actively developing since the 60-70s of the 20th century, is connected to the reduction in cost of these technologies, caused to their wider distribution to solve corporate problems in the modern economy. Artificial intelligence technologies are developing in the direction of “weak” or applied artificial intelligence, focused on solving specific production problems. The share of Russian companies using artificial intelligence is increasing. Basically, artificial intelligence technologies are used by large companies, since such technological solutions are still quite expensive for small and medium-sized companies. The most popular artificial intelligence technologies today are solutions related to searching and extracting information from text, dialogue systems and chat bots and speech recognition. The prospects of artificial intelligence involved with the use of digital assistants for information workers, IT automation and automated customer services. The usage of artificial intelligence lead to ethical problems connected to the use of confidential information, that must be solved not only at the level of corporate decisions, but also at the level of international agreements.
