Development of documentary credit application in Russia

The article studies application of one of the most widespread form of payment method on the foreign-trade contracts, which is the documentary credit. It substantiates relevance of further spread of this bank service for development of the foreign-trade relations of the Russian companies. The authors give arguments proving the leading status of the foreign bank groups' subsidiaries in this bank services sector. It is concluded the necessity of increasing usage of the documentary credit by the Russian enterprises and corporations.
