Extreme tourism development in Yakutsk cultural landscape

The author identifies elements of the cultural landscape of Yakutsk from the point of view of its potential as a space of extreme tourism. Extreme tourism is a form of free play activity, an activity associated with life experiences, overcoming situations that pose a danger to human health and even life. In the cultural landscape of the city of Yakutsk, in the light of the problems of organizing extreme tours, the following indicators can be distinguished: urban space and architectural structures, commemorative practices and city holidays, urban symbols and symbolic objects, perception of the urban environment. Understanding extreme tourism in line with cultural landscape science will expand opportunities to create an attractive tourist product, help build a more competent marketing policy and identify elements of the tourism industry that require development.
