Development of electric power industry in the arctic regions of the Russian Federation, considering the use of renewable energy sources

The article focuses on analysis of schemes and programs for the prospective development of the electric power industry in the Arctic regions of the Russian Federation, considering the influence of isolated energy regions and hard-to-reach territories, factors of prospective changes in the demand for electricity, the influence of the economy and climate, the deterioration of fixed assets of energy entities, as well as modern global trends in application renewable energy sources as an alternative to traditional energy.
