Development of classical Mongolian script in Russia, Mongolia, and China in the early 21st century

The article analyzes the state and trends in the development of classical Mongolian script in the cultural and educational space of Russia, Mongolia, and China, localized within the region of Inner Asia. Contemporary ethno-linguistic processes occurring in the mentioned region demonstrate a number of characteristic trends. Based on the analysis of official documents in the field of language policy in Russia, Mongolia, and China, the main trends in the development of classical Mongolian script in Inner Asia have been identified. In modern conditions, language development issues acquire particular importance, affecting both minority and majority languages. The focus of the research is on determining the factors and trends in the development of classical Mongolian script in the regions of Russia, Mongolia, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China. As a result of the study, peculiarities of state language policies and the symbolic content of Mongolian script depending on the language situation in a specific region have been identified.
