Development of creative industries in the regions of Siberian Federal District

This article addresses the pressing issue of developing creative industries in the Siberian Federal District (SFD) as a key factor in diversifying the regional economy and overcoming spatial inequalities. The aim of the study is to comprehensively analyze the current state, identify the challenges, and identify the prospects for this sector in the Siberian regions. It was found that the Novosibirsk Region, Krasnoyarsk Krai, and Irkutsk Region lead in the number of companies and revenue, while development in the republics remains low. Growth drivers in the Siberian Federal District are software development, publishing, advertising, and architecture. The article systematizes the key challenges hindering the development of creative industries, including complex statistical accounting, fragmented government support measures, and insufficient funding. Particular attention is paid to analyzing the inclusion of creative industries in the socioeconomic development strategies of the Siberian Federal District regions. As a result, a set of practical recommendations was developed for government agencies to strengthen educational, informational, and financial support for the sector, taking into account regional specifics. The study confirms the significant potential of creative industries for creating new jobs, increasing tax revenues, and enhancing the investment attractiveness of Siberian regions.
