In the current economic and political conditions, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure and cooperation between countries in this area has become one of the priority areas of international economic development. If we talk about the economy of the Russian Federation, one of the most popular regions today is the Far East and especially Primorsky Krai, due to its advantageous geographical position – proximity to the Asia-Pacific countries and access to the Northern Sea Route. However, the turn to the East and active cargo flow across the Russian border has not only identified many promising areas of development, but also revealed a number of acute problems and “bottlenecks” in the railway and port infrastructure not only of Primorsky Krai, but of the entire country as a whole. That is why now, when a powerful trade turnover has been established with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, it is necessary to take a number of comprehensive and emergency measures, primarily to introduce new technologies, modernize existing infrastructure elements, implement new regional and international projects, and search for alternative methods of cargo delivery. This will help to establish a stable and year-on-year growing trade turnover both within the country and broad, and secondly, to develop all areas of transport logistics and create several leading logistics hubs.
