The role of small and medium-sized businesses, which is important for the development of the state economy, is considered. An important role is played by small and medium-sized enterprises, because in the conditions of their development, it is favorable to implement innovations, which in turn will lead to improvements in the socio-economic sphere of the state. The economic growth of the country directly depends on the development of entrepreneurship in general. Favorable government policies, foreign direct investment and the development of trade activities can play an important role in the development of this area. Therefore, this study assesses and proposes stages that will undoubtedly have a beneficial effect on the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan, and, if properly functioning, will be able to provide the domestic market with essential goods.
