The development of mathematical research in the history of academic science centers in the north of Russia

The article makes an attempt to conduct a comparative lookback analysis of the creation and development of the main mathematical research directions at the academic science centers in the North of Russia (Karelian, Kola, Komi Science Centers of the Russian Academy of Sciences). The main stages, forms of work, results of theoretical research and application developments, the use of information technologies focused on solving currently important problems in the interdisciplinary scientific field, as well as in the sphere of regional economy are highlighted.
