Development of the quality function deployment method at the product design stage

Quality function deployment is the method, which is an extremely effective tool for achieving a high level of product competitiveness. The paper is devoted to the development of this method at the design stage of the product life cycle. It should be noted that the relationships between the participants in the construction of the House of Quality fundamentally changes from the type {consumer/user - professionals/producer} to the type of interaction {professionals - professionals}. It ultimately changes the model of product perception, which is described in the Weber-Fechner law and the method of forecasting the level of product quality. To develop the design, the risks of insufficient competence of the participants should be taken into account in the development of the House of Quality in relation to the life cycle of the designed product. The quality house of a fire and smoke protection steel door was built as an example.
