The paper "Development of (local) press in the towns of Dagestan in a period from 1946 to 1960" considers assistance supplied to meet the challenges of technological advancements to the region in the period under consideration, promotion of best practices in labour, introducing achievements of science and technology to public. The local press promoted to wide spreading information on the best labour techniques. In order to execute resolutions of the 3 rd Plenary Session of Regional Committee of the Communist Party (1956) newspapers stepped up efforts in the struggle against remnants of the past, they started the real campaign in their pages against bearers of those remnants, and intensified science-based atheistic propaganda.
