The development of beer and nonalcoholic beverages and wine industry of Krasnoyarsk economic district in the years of ‘thaw’

The study deals with the development of beer and nonalcoholic bever-ages and wine industry of Krasnoyarsk Region in 1953-1965. The purpose of the study was the definition of the main stages of development of this in-dustry in Krasnoyarsk Region during considered period; the assessment of high-quality and quantitative changes in the condition of the industry for the beginning and at the end of the period of reforming. The principles of histor-icism, scientific objectivity, systemacity and critical relation to the sources were the basis of the research. For Krasnoyarsk Region in 1950-ies sharp disproportion in the development among the branches of heavy and light in-dustry was characteristic. Beer and nonalcoholic beverages industry and wine industry existing at that time could not completely satisfy the require-ment of the population. Though in the conditions of urbanization of Krasno-yarsk Region and declared priority in the development of branches of light and food industry, the population of the cities of the region had considerable need for the production of this sort. During the reform of 1957 the existing control system was completely reorganized. The reform allowed carrying out modernization of the whole branch, this result led practically to great in-crease in the production of beer and nonalcoholic beverages and local wines. New capacities allowed carrying out better food policy within the region raising the standard of living of local population.
