Development of searching and rescuing activities in the Republic of Buryatia

The author studies the history of exploration activities in the Republic of Buryatia. The article provides information about the activities and projects of the Republican search and rescue detachment "Rys" (Lynx). In addition, information is presented about the participation of students from the Buryat State University named after Dorzhi Banzarov in search projects. It is noted that search and rescue activities are an important resource for the research activities of students and for the cultivation of patriotism and civic engagement.
