Development of the potential of the third dimension in solving the transport problem of modern megapolities

The article is devoted to the review and analysis of the prospects for the application of innovative EVTOL air taxi technologies in the context of ongoing urbanization. The authors consider the main factors that positively and negatively affect the development of the potential of the third dimension for solving transport accessibility issues. The level of development of these technologies in the Russian market is analyzed. The introduction of EVTOL technology is considered from the point of view of a commercial project. Based on a comparative analysis of two megacities, the prospects for the introduction of air taxis using innovative technologies are substantiated.
