Development of knowledge about metamorphism and granite-formation in the Timan-North Ural region

Problems of metamorphism and granite-formation in the Timan-North Ural region were priority-oriented from the very beginning of organization of the Institute of geology in Syktyvkar. By the 70-th years of the last century the basic regularities of demonstration of processes of metamorphism and granite-formation in the north of Urals and Timan Ridge have been established. Last decades a great attention was devoted to the questions of origin of granite material, studying of granitoids of volkano-plutonic associations, working out of a new direction in a petrology - a petrology explosive-fljuidization systems, determination of age and peculiarities of evolution of metamorphism of different types, typing of Early Precambrian metamorphic complexes, revealing of geodynamic position of magmatic and metamorphic rocks.
