The problems associated with civil society have long become relevant not only for lawyers, but also for representatives of such sciences as political science, sociology, philosophy, etc. However, to this day there is no unity on the issue of the essence of civil society. At the same time, it is completely obvious that civil society is inconceivable without mutual connection and interdependence with such global phenomena in people's lives as the state and law. Moreover, as the practice of modern developed countries shows, the functioning of civil society in the proper sense of the word is possible only in a democratic rule-of-law state. In such a state human and civil rights and freedoms are guaranteed and implemented de jure and de facto, the principles of the rule of law, mutual responsibility of the state and society are really implemented.
