Development of procedures for environmental audit, environmental certification and eco-labelling in order to create a market....for environmental goods, works and services

The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of developing the procedure for environmental audit, environmental certification and eco-labelling to create a market for environmental goods, works and services. This study emphasizes that the lack of developed assessment methods and certification systems in Russia is increasingly exacerbating the problem of environmental safety. In Russia now, the manufacturers are ready to work according to new standards, but these standards do not exist. At the international level, this situation is resolved through ISO, but in Russia, no more than 10 % of products have eco-labelling, most of them due to the request of consumers. There is a situation when the presence of environmental marking has become optional. The main conclusion of the study is the need of developing the special document either in the form of an environmental strategy or the eco-labelling set of rules.
