Development of the industrial sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Republic of Uzbekistan has an active industrial policy aimed at shifting the focus from the production of raw materials with relatively low added value in favor of finished products with higher added value. The main outcome measures were: stable growth of industrial production, the growth of the industry contribution to the GDP growth, the positive trends in the growth of an innovative factor of industrial development, the increase of hi-tech production, increase resource efficiency and increase the level of localization of the product.
