Industrial development of Buryatia in the conditions of transformation of the Russian society

The article considers history of the development of industry in the Republic of Buryatia, its place and role in the region development. Studying of economic processes during transformation gives the chance, understanding of nature of changes that occurred in them, factors and prospects of the development of industry for conducting the necessary social and economic transformations in the region. Further prospects of the development of industry will depend on opportunities to find the strategic direction of the development of the Republic of Buryatia in economy of Russia as a whole.
