Development of industry of Vologda region in 1961 - 1985

The article gives an analysis of the main factors that provided high rates of industrial development in the Vologda region in the historical period under study. The experience of those years, in the opinion of the author, has not lost its practical significance and can be used in realizing the tasks of developing the region's industry at the present stage.
