Factors contributing to its development include new institutional designs and high-tech business models. The author specifically examines the current state of payment system institutions in the Russian Federation, despite geopolitical sanctions. Despite these challenges, the Russian payments industry continues to grow and its infrastructure is highly technological.It has been concluded that the primary focus of the Russian government should be on the development and implementation of innovative initiatives to establish an efficient settlement and payment system for international transactions. The implementation of these measures would ensure systemic financial stability and the stability of the financial market.
