The development of regional political schools and think tanks (based on the results of the scientific and practical political science forum "Regional perspective")

The article examines the experience of regional political science schools and analytical centers, presented at the First Scientific and Practical Political Science Forum «Regional Perspective», which was held on April 16, 2021 in Belgorod. During the forum, the representatives of political science schools of Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk, Saratov, Yaroslavl, Tula, Kursk, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Belgorod discussed their regional practices. The majority of experts and participants noted the undervaluation of regional think tanks, their isolation and insufficiency of communication channels. Nevertheless, they were cautiously optimistic about the development of these centers and schools in the medium term and about their significant potential. The problems of the dichotomy of the development of centers and regions were also touched upon.
