The development of Russian-Chinese relations on the modern stage (financial aspect)

The article considers the factors of development of economic relations between Russia and China at the present stage. A noticeable positive change in the partnership between the two countries in the economic sphere was noted. This article examines the problems and prospects of Russian-Chinese relations that have developed from 2013 to the present. The author comprehensively analyzes the spheres of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation (mutual trade, use of strategic partnership in the gas sphere, joint use of energy resources, interregional and cross-border relations, scientific and technical cooperation, etc.). It should be noted that in recent years, Russian-Chinese cooperation in the energy sector has reached an exceptionally new level, as can be seen from the number of projects and bilateral agreements signed in this area. China, as one of the world’s largest energy consumers, is interested in ensuring the country’s energy security and maintaining high growth rates of the national economy. For Russia, as one of the key suppliers of energy resources, mutually beneficial cooperation with China in this area makes it possible to develop areas of energy exports, and more importantly - the impetus for the infrastructure development of the Siberian and far Eastern regions of the country.
