Development of the Russian electronic industry: searching for competitive advantages under sanctions

Since the mid-twentieth century, there has been an ever-accelerating growth in production in the electronics industry. Currently, the rate of its development is 17% annually. No other industrial segments have ever shown similar production growth rates. This circumstance confirms the high relevance of this article. The purpose of this study is to identify the dependence of the development of the electronic industry in Russia on the supply of imported components. In addition, it is necessary to specify the main stages and scenarios provided for by the Strategy for the Development of the Electronic Industry of Russia until 2030. As materials for the study, foreign and domestic publications, Internet sources and open statistical information on the development of the electronics industry in the world and in Russia were used. The paper reveals the current situation, estimates the prospects for the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of the Russian Electronics Industry, and presents the expected results of its implementation. The results obtained can be used not only in the electronics industry, but also for the development of other high-tech sectors of the Russian economy.
