Development of the market for mortgage lending in Russia

The article examines the main stages of the development of the mortgage business in Russia from the middle of the 14th century to the present. The analysis of changes in interest rates on mortgages since 2000 has been carried out. The dynamics of the volume of mortgage loans issued, as well as the share of overdue loans in the total volume of mortgage loans issued. Based on the analysis of the current situation in the Russian mortgage market, conclusions are given on the prospects for the development of the mortgage lending market in Russia.
