Decentralised finance area development: opportunities and perspectives

The article examines decentralized finance model features as a new area of modern financial market and provides comparative analysis of DeFi with the area of traditional centralized finances. The authors identify the services that are available for users in frameworks of decentralized finance system and analyze the various scientists views describing the possibilities and limitations of using blockchain technology to provide financial services. As a part of the study, a survey of the financial sector exponents was conducted regarding their knowledge of the field of decentralized finance and their ideas about the prospects for its development. Survey participants were asked questions about the areas in which DeFi can be used, what risks and opportunities are inherent in such financial transactions, how they see the prospects for the development of the sphere and what factors will contribute to this, as well as questions about the role of the state and professional market participants. An analysis of the survey participants opinions allowed the authors to conclude that the respondents are well versed in DeFi issues and think that over time it will occupy an appropriate position in the structure of the financial market along with the sphere of traditional finances.
