Development of system of military schools of Red Army in 1929-1937

This article focuses on the historical path of formation and development of the system of preparation of military personnel in the USSR during 1929-1937. The article analyzes the correspondence of the quantitative indicator of the Red Army to its quality index. The changes of the system of military schools throughout the eight-year period of modernization of the Red Army are considered in detail, the basic suppositions of the reforms of military education are revealed, the measures on reforming the system of training military personnel are analyzed.
