Development of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in the oil and gas industry

This article examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (MO) on the oil and gas complex (NGC). The study focuses on key aspects of the application of these technologies in the industry, including optimizing exploration, increasing well productivity, managing production processes and improving safety. Examples of successful implementation of AI and MO by Russian companies such as PJSC Gazprom and PJSC Rosneft, which demonstrate significant improvements in productivity and reduced operating costs, are given. The article also discusses the prospects for further development of AI and MO technologies, such as the development of predictive analytics, automation of drilling processes, integration with the Internet of Things (IoT) and the creation of digital twins. The possible challenges and risks associated with the introduction of AI and MO are analyzed, including cybersecurity and the need for significant investments.
