Development of trade relations between Russia and Singapore in the framework of the formation of a free trade zone

Бесплатный доступ

The article analyzes trade cooperation between Russia and Singapore, which began in 1968 with the establishment of diplomatic relations. The creation of a free trade area (FTZ) with Singapore to strengthen foreign economic ties is considered. Prospects for investment cooperation are discussed, including opportunities for Singaporean investors in Russian industries such as oil and gas, agribusiness and technology. Changes in trade turnover between the countries from 2022 to 2024, as well as the impact of sanctions on trade, are also considered. It is expected that the successful implementation of the FTA can lead to a significant increase in trade volumes and joint projects in high technology and logistics, but success will depend on political stability and the ability to adapt to global challenges.
