Development of creative abilities among physical education university students in the implementation of competence approach

The article presents the materials obtained in the research problem of creative abilities development among students of physical education. We consider higher education, the trends of its transformation and training conditions in the system of multi-level higher education. Much attention is paid to the disclosure of the meanings "competence approach" and "competence". Competence approach in education is considered as a priority strategic government position. The transition to the new target installation of professional training is connected with new opportunities to achieve the required quality of sport direction graduates' competence. The advantages of competence approach were proved in today's educational system in comparison with knowledge approach. The explanation of the meanings "creativity", "creative thinking" and "creativity" were given. The results of the preliminary research for knowledge, attitudes, judgments, and students' self-evaluation studies about efficiency, content, technologies and approaches to the organization of educational process in high schools were presented, as well as the data obtained in the experimental studies to determine the effectiveness of creative abilities development of certain pedagogical technologies which prove highly effective educational methods with the use of interactive instruments. This article is intended to professionals who teach staff with higher professional education, including physical education and sport area. The material should be interesting for scientists, but it can be also useful for graduate and post-graduate students.
