The realization of the biological potential of spring soft wheat varieties in the forest-steppe of the Salair ridge foothills

The research findings of 22 spring soft wheat varieties of different ripeness groups in the forest-steppe of the Salair Ridge foothills are discussed. It has been found that the factor that exerts the greatest influence on the crop yield level is the “year” factor. Its effect is maximum one, up to 95.59%, in medium-early varieties. To obtain stable yields of spring wheat under the conditions of the forest-steppe of the Salair Ridge foothills, the following varieties are recommended: medium-early group - Novosibirskaya 29, Omskaya 36, Altayskaya 70; mid-season group - OMGAU 90, Sibirskiy alyans, Altayskaya 100, Altayskaya 75, Altayskaya zhnitsa; middle-late group - Altayskaya 105, Tobolskyaya.
